Alison Hunka founded the 1885 Singers in 1997. A Putney choir open to everyone, it has established itself in the music scene of South West London. They give four concerts a year, usually March, June, October and December. There is a 4-6 week lead into each concert with rehearsals on Mondays and Wednesdays in All Saints Church , Putney Common.
From 21st September we have started rehearsing again (together, but socially distanced). For further details go to the Get involved page.
For more information please contact Alison Hunka by email or on 07763 464304.
The 1885 Singers singing together but totally distanced
Please click on this link to see the first movement of Vivaldi’s Gloria performed by the socially distanced 1885 Singers, or this link to hear Wie Lieblich sind deine Wohnungen (How lovely are Thy dwellings) from Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem. These were both put together by a very expert professional sound/video mixer friend, to whom we are very grateful.
